And they're out...

Yep, here's the big finish at the Canada Post desk in the mall... the ladies there were most helpful and reassuring that the invites would indeed pass the test of fitting through the mail slot and that they were not too heavy or bulky to send.  They didn't require extra postage or any of that jazz thankfully!  I was super happy with the way they turned out and was also super thankful for the many hands which made light work of putting these creations together!  Thanks to you all for what you did, overcoming "crafting and cardmaking" anxieties, working up calluses on your poor fingers and becoming experts at "tying the knot!" (you know who you are!).  Mom and i made an epic trip to the mall to drop them off, lick them shut (always reminds me of the Seinfeld episode where George's fiancee dies after licking all their wedding envelopes - we used doekies!) and send them off.
It was a big relief to get that done and finished.  Canada Post is oh so efficient and today, when i checked the email, lo and behold, four people are already coming to the wedding - with another six more known guests coming who haven't officially responded - they're coming from overseas - so exciting!!  I look forward to seeing you all soon.
We have less than two months to go before we are officially husband and wife and Timothy and I are excited!  We look forward to the lack of late night trips to and from Toronto and to establishing a new Christian home together with our God.  Someone reminded me recently of the text about a three strand cord not being easily broken - that is so important to remember in our preparations and indeed in our lives together each day!   We covet your prayers as we come down to a few busy months, that we may remain focused on the great and awesome God who brought us together in His time, who formed and fashioned us to be the people we are, and who will be our Rock and Shield for the years to come!
I'll leave you with the words of our wedding text...
Psalm 33:20-22
We wait in hope for the LORD;
he is our help and our shield.
In him our hearts rejoice,
For we trust in his holy name.
May your unfailing love rest upon us, O LORD,
even as we put our hope in you.
