Now you don't see him...
Now you do!!!Okay, y'all thought i was done for the night, probably for the week or even the month now, didn't you? Fess up, you did believe that... well, i'm going to blow you all out of the water and post twice within one hour... about nonsense. Yup, no room for deep thoughts or soliloqueys or poetry tonight, unless you count that sorry excuse of a poem in the previous post of the evening, see post #100, 9:40 pm. Anyways, lightning has struck twice in the same place and now there come a few more pics your way for your viewing pleasure.
Today i bravely ventured to do a task of which i was not sure of the outcome (is that correct grammar?) I had scooped up some of the pristine white sugary sand from the beach in Florida over two weeks ago now and entrapped it, together with some unwashed shells in a sealed ziplock baggie which then made its way from Florida via mini-van accompanied by five children for two days til it reached good old Ontario where it took up residence on a friend's counter for the next week, whereupon i betook it to my own abode, where it sat and mouldered upon my bookshelf for another week or so. In my humble estimation, i was thinking that the smells which would emanate from that baggie should it split open or be opened incorrectly would be horrifically stale, seawaterish and otherwise not so pleasant to inhale. Thus, i opened said Ziplock with caution expecting the worse, but finding to my pleasant surprise, no odor whatsoever!! All my precious white sugar sand from Anna Maria had survived intact and was displayed now for my viewing enjoyment on a dinner plate where it could dry up and breathe. It then came to me this evening that it would be nice to call this an "executive sandbox" and to somehow find a little rake and amuse our infrequent guests with such a novelty. However, to my surprise, after the first initial photo assay of the sandbox, there appeared a figure in the sand. He was tall, dark and strangely quiet. His features were fixed in a strange glazed expression as he contem"plated" life. And where his lovely princess could be? This solitary figure, this lone Romeo, could it be? Is it he? Sacre bleu! It's my Prince Charming! He's been wandering around all these years in an endless trackless wasteland of sand. Poor fellow, he must be nearly dune in, going against the grain like that. Anyways, i just thought i'd let you know that the search is over and we have been united at long last!!!
