Tots on a Sunday nite

Hi there all my two faithful readers... whoops, that's me who checks my own blog sometimes boosting the "readership" checking to see if i've updated my life and strangely enough there never seems to be any updates - gotta kick that writer in the butt... well, kinda hard to do that to yourself -i'll just give myself a little hoof in the shins - (oops, first wrote chins - well, kinda appropriate there too i guess but the efforts would be slightly more acrobatic!) - there done... chastisement complete.
I am sitting here in my living room, with some anticipation in my chest - looking forward to a week off and doing some fun things, but as i sit here in middle suburbia - i am put to thinking that for new immigrants who have gone through war times - it must be a difficult experience if you were not prepared for fireworks on holiday evenings - all around my house there seem to be firework displays spontaneously erupting along with loud cracks that once in a while give me a little quiver in my heart - but i would think that if you know what gunfire and bombs are in real life... Just a thought...
Anyhow... not too many kitchen updates lately - seems to be on stall for a few weeks - just mostly trim to get up there and little last minute things - filling in holes and putting doors back on - we moved the fridge back into the kitchen area last week - though for some reason i kept going to the dining room for my morning milk and having to turn around and realize that the milk was actually in the fridge where it was supposed to be in the fridge-sized hole in the kitchen! Fun stuff... We also hauled the kitchen table and newly-upholstered chairs upstairs and now i can sit like a civilized person (hey, i can pretend) and enjoy my meals looking outside at my little water feature on my deck... aah, another joy of summer...
Wow, sounds like WWIII out there - the action is heating up... and i'm nodding off... how sad is that! 10:00 on a Sunday night - and tired out - probably aftereffects of not being in the prime of health this week - suffering under the effects of a nasty cold - which alternated in stealing my voice, plugging my nose and giving me chest, ear and throat pains, fun times to be sure! But maybe things are on the mend - there seemed to be an awful lot of people coughing and snotting in church today so i'm not the only one - i hated calling in sick to work but i didn't want to be hacking all over my poor patients who already have enough to deal with!
Rambles and rovings here to be sure - i have felt so uninspired lately and i apologize - what's been going on to make me so? Don't know, maybe it's the allure of the gardens - pulling me outside to get my thumbs dirty and hide the fact that they aren't so green or maybe it's the nicer temperatures that have kept me puttering around on my hands and knees removing dandelions from my grass - go figure since i grew up with a yard that is mostly composed of weeds - why i should believe i can have a weed-free lawn is beyond me...
Well, nuf said for now... pictures in a few days hopefully...
Good night and sweet dreams my lovelies!
