I know, i know, long overdue... but here are a few recent pics of my kitchen, it's nearly finished now - just some trim and little final detaily things to be done yet... i've been living in it for a coupla months now and i do enjoy it muchly!
It is very well designed for working in and i love the colours and the finishes. I've hosted a few small dinners already and that has worked out well too. I've found new places to run into (i'm a klutz extraordinaire for those of you who don't know me well - and i've always got bruises from running into stuff - my most famous one was falling at work and ending up with a huge bruise on my arm so that i went around for weeks looking like someone had gotten really angry at me). I've installed a few plants - just waiting for windowsills to put a few more in! I still can't find my box of magnets - i know they're around somewhere - but for the life of me i can't seem to find them and it's driving me crazy since my fridge looks kinda bare except the World Cup articles taped to it!
The lights are real cozy at night and lend a lot of atmosphere to the room. The floor is (mostly) cool to the touch - nice on hot days - but nothing has been cool the last few days to be sure in our sweltering weather!
And sitting at the table last week - enjoying the sun pouring in the back door, making it feel like we were eating outside - the breezes wafting in gently and hearing the finches singing outside -who needs to go on vacation eh?
