Fables of the Green meadows...

My dear little foxglove, blooming its heart out!
And my aggressive morning glories - i think sometimes
i am going to come home and be unable to make it up the steps because
they will have taken the railings hostage!

Does anyone out there remember Fables of the Green Forest? I used to love that show - i don't remember all the characters but i loved the little opening ditty "Fables from the green forest, the stories we tell there will all come to life" or something like that - sung in a very catchy little tune and pleasing to the ear! Well, there are no fables from the green forest but perhaps a few from the meadows... it's now 11:03 pm and i'm sitting here at my kitchen table, it's super quiet outside, no much of a breeze blowing (doesn't bode well for my sleepingness - i like wind - it's a nice lullaby - my bedroom door opening and shutting every once in a while with the air currents - well, actually i don't like that part of things because then i think someone's spooking around the house, but i think maybe you might know what i mean - if not, just keep reading, there's bound to be something that makes sense a little further down). I've just come back from a nice cuppa tea at friends and having spent the day with my mother shopping and spooking around Hamilton - fun times - taking a quick little afternoon nap in the trailer which was airing out in the driveway and which still delightfully smells of new plastic and material - what a nice smell - even better than gasoline! I know, crazy! That's okay, someone's got to be the eccentric one in the family - and my dear family will be pleased to know that i've managed not to spill anything on myself in the last two hours - a record for me today since suppertime was a bit of a disaster involving gravy, beets (heehee), applesauce smears and water spilling left, right and centre! Don't worry, the day is nearly ended!
Anyhow, i thought i'd stick a few pics of my garden here - i'm happy things are growing - well, in certain cases, exploding - i can't even manage to wade into the tomato section at the back now - i included a pic from early in the spring when there wasn't much to be seen and one from last July when the garden was pretty much a certifiable jungle - competing with the Amazon nearly!
If you want a closer garden tour - come on over and i'll reserve a seat on the garden bench for you and brew up a nice cuppa tea! Night!!
