For all my dear regular blog readers who patiently await my sporadic updates which occur with such infrequency, here are a few more kitchen pictures - you might not see tonnes of changes - i sure notice them...the countertops are all installed now and i'm super, super excited with the breakfast bar area - i can already see that being a very favorite place to hang out! The sink holes are cut in the countertop - plumbing to follow in a coupla days along with lighting being hooked up and the microwave/hood and the trim going up... all exciting steps and everyday i thrill a little when i walk by the entrance to the kitchen and see the potential for having people over, sharing time and a little bite to eat and some time doing dishes (yep, still haven't caved to have a dishwasher!) 
The nicely finished end of the breakfast bar - i like the little details - the soft close drawers, the little ?pediments? under the bar, the paneled cabinet covers...
And it sure looks cozy with the potlights, even without the covers installed...
And tonight after work, i added some daffodils, forsythia and a budding maple branch to spice it up a bit! I thought red would be my accent colour, but i'm liking yellow too! I guess it just goes to show more than one colour can be fun here!

Wow Danielle!!!! It looks awesome!!! I'm ssssoooo jealous of all the counter space you have now! So when can we come and sit at your breakfast counter?? (love that!!)
WOWWWW!!! It's looking amazingly fantastic! I can't WAIT to come and see it for real. Should be a little safer to visit with these little tykes when it's not a construction zone, :D. I can't wait to have coffee with you at your breakfast bar! I guess now that we've bought a house and don't need to take you up on your VERY generous offer, I don't get to use your kitchen, so sad :)

Thanks everyone...i'm not good at brewing coffee.. but i can learn so get your mugs ready and in a few weeks hopefully we'll have an open house and time to sit and enjoy!
