First glimpses of Haiti - the northern coast somewhere - i keep meaning to look this up on Google earth! And below, coming in over Port-au-Prince. It's a familiar sight but each time feels different - this was my first time back since the devastating earthquake of January 12, 2010. I had no idea what to expect...
I know. I know. It's been far too long since a nice juicy post made it's way onto the virtual pages of my blog... so here's a few little ones to make up for a big one. It's been a busy, busy few weeks here in my life, so much going on and so much to do and see and experience. After getting back from Holland in December, it was full swing into Christmas and then new committees and family and oh, yeah a little trip out to Haiti too. I'll post a few pictures from that trip here... They may not be in any particular order but i'll try! I'm going to do them day by day so that at least my "picture-a-day" idea will be done for a week... since i'm woefully behind. So these shots are all from day one - January 26 - okay, the first one is a bit of a cheat since that was the day before i left - but i thought the contrast would be good right? Going from freezing cold and white to warm and windy and dusty!

If you type: Grande Saline Haiti into Google Maps I think you will find where that second last photo is. :-)
